Here are the best things to do this week, courtesy of Visit Philadelphia.

The Electrical Spectacle light show continues to anchor Holidays in Franklin Square, filling the historic park with hundreds of thousands of synchronized lights set to seasonal music each night. The free show runs every 30 minutes after dark and serves as the backdrop for seasonal programming through the end of December.

Holiday pop-ups are lighting up Philadelphia, and one of the newest is bringing a dose of cheer to Rittenhouse. Opening Tuesday, Nov. 12, Walnut Garden at 1708 Walnut St. becomes Walnut Wonderland, a seasonal outdoor escape filled with twinkling lights, themed trees and festive food and drinks.

Fans of the wizarding world can revisit the full “Harry Potter” film series during weekly movie nights at Libertee Grounds, running Tuesday evenings through Jan. 27.

The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts will hold its annual Brodsky CenterHoliday Pop-Up Print Sale on Saturday, Dec. 13, turning the Hamilton Building lobby into a temporary print shop from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Camden’s Winter Wonderland Festival is set to brighten up Roosevelt Plaza Park on Friday, Dec. 19, turning one of the city’s central gathering spots into a cheerful holiday hangout. The free event runs from 5 to 8 p.m. and invites families to stop by for a mix of seasonal activities.

Otherworld Philadelphia is bringing back its seasonal spectacle with “Magic of the Willow,” an immersive light and sound show that runs Dec. 17 through Jan. 4. The experience uses 600 strands of LEDs that shift, ripple and change color in sync with original music. Visitors will also find a handful of holiday themed interactions woven into the exhibits, offering small surprises throughout the space.

The Academy of Natural Sciences is filling the colder months with a mix of science, creativity and family activities. Across two winter weekends in late December and early January, visitors can explore how animals handle the cold, try out craft projects, meet live specimens and settle in for seasonal story times.

Eastern State Penitentiary is hosting Shared Light: Winter Celebrations from Dec. 20 to 31, inviting visitors to explore how people found moments of connection and hope inside the prison during the winter season. The program blends history, personal storytelling and creative activities to show how holidays such as Hanukkah, Christmas and New Year’s were experienced by people living under strict confinement.

The Franklin Institute is rolling out a full slate of family activities for its Seasonal Science holiday programming, which runs Dec. 20 through 30.
